Through the rest of this past Summer we worked hard making new stations, adding vegetation, creating scenery objects, and more. All that work has finally paid off as we have now finished the scenery of the line in New York City and have reached Westchester County and New Rochelle. There is still plenty of work to be done but this is a big milestone in our progress as the city landscape was probably the hardest to make. Now comes completing Westchester County scenery and beginning our work in Connecticut. I hope you guys are looking forward to it as much as I am and as always, enjoy the video!
My most recent project, and the project with the greatest priority, is my Shore Line East Route for Trainz. It a part of Virtual Trainz Railroad’s NEC route, which progress has slowed down on. I am working on the area’s between Old Lyme, Connecticut, and New Haven, Connecticut.
One of the stations along the portion of the route I am doing, is Westbrook station. It is a small, 1 door, low level platform, that was my first custon piece of scenery made for this route. The other important thing about this 3D model, is the basic shape was made in Google SketchUP 8 Pro, and then the model was edited, and UV Mapped in AutoDesk 3DS Max 8.
